It was born on a summer evening…
Vindea is the name of a wine rich in history and extravagance that you can only know from the story told by the owners of Panzanello.

The combination of Petit Verdot and Sangiovese makes this wine precious, preserved in an equally precious bottle and with silk-screened labeling with numbering on each individual bottle. This wine best expresses the characteristics of the company's territory and its potential.

Vindea is a Limited Edition and to date there are only 3 vintages that have allowed us to make such a special wine. Vindea is a perfect wine for an important gift, to elegantly celebrate an occasion or to treat yourself to a break.

Intense purple-red color, aromas of ripe forest fruit, noble and elegant spices. The taste does not disappoint expectations, it is enveloping, soft, round with an important acid backbone.

Initially austere but then it softens also in honor of the name it bears: THE WINE OF THE GODDESS!

Grapes

Vindea is an exclusive blend of Petit Verdot and Sangiovese, produced only in the best vintages. Petit Verdot provides power and depth, while Sangiovese provides freshness and elegance, creating a complex, structured wine with great character.

Maceration Time

The grapes are left to macerate for 25-30 days in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, allowing for optimal extraction of aromas, color and tannins. This process guarantees an intense and enveloping structure, with a balanced sip between strength and finesse.

Winemaking and Refinement

After fermentation, the wine ages for 30-36 months in new French oak barriques, developing an extraordinary complexity. It is then further aged in the bottle for at least 24 months, essential to harmonize its aromas and its elegant expressive power.

Organoleptic Characteristics

With an intense purple red color, Vindea releases a wide and refined bouquet with notes of ripe berries, noble spices and sweet tobacco. In the mouth it is full and velvety, with fine tannins and an extraordinary persistence, characterized by hints of dark chocolate and graphite.

Alcohol Content and Structure

With an alcohol content of around 14.5%, Vindea is a wine of great body and longevity. The structure is imposing, but perfectly balanced by a vibrant acidity, which ensures a harmonious evolution over time and an elegant and persistent finish.

Service and Temperature

It should be served at 18°C, after at least two hours of oxygenation or decanting. The ideal glass is a large glass for important wines, which allows to enhance the aromatic complexity and the extraordinary depth of this rare and precious wine.

Food Pairings

It pairs perfectly with braised meats, game and mature cheeses, elevating dishes such as wild boar stew, lamb chops with herbs and long-aged pecorino. Its structure also pairs beautifully with gourmet dishes and international cuisine or as a meditation wine.
