Grapes

Crafted from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot, meticulously selected from our estate's premier vineyards. Panzanello's distinctive terroir amplifies these varieties' natural qualities, creating a wine that truly embodies the authentic character and refined balance of Chianti Classico DOCG.

Maceration Time

The grapes undergo a 15-day maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, carefully extracting optimal color, tannin structure, and aromatic compounds. This measured approach yields a wine of remarkable vibrancy, featuring silky tannins and balanced structure that ensures exceptional drinkability.

Winemaking and Refinement

Following fermentation, the wine ages entirely in used French tonneaux for 12 months. A subsequent 12-month bottle maturation period completes the wine's development, creating the perfect harmony between complexity and immediate enjoyment.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Bright ruby red with excellent clarity and luminosity, the wine opens with fresh cherry and violet notes, complemented by subtle spice accents and undertones of Mediterranean herbs and forest floor. On the palate, it presents a dynamic, balanced character with refined tannins and refreshing acidity that extends through to a nimble, pleasantly persistent finish.

Alcohol Content and Structure

At 14.5% alcohol, this Chianti Classico offers a precise, well-defined structure that remains elegant and accessible. Its vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins create a versatile, distinguished wine capable of developing beautifully over several years while remaining immediately enjoyable.

Service and Temperature

Best presented at 60-64°F after allowing the bottle to breathe for approximately 30 minutes. A tulip-shaped wine glass will optimize the aromatic experience, concentrating the bouquet while highlighting the characteristic freshness of Sangiovese.

Food Pairings

This exceptionally versatile wine shines alongside tomato-based pasta dishes, roasted white meats, and young cheeses. Creates memorable experiences with traditional Tuscan ragù, artisanal salumi, classic bruschetta, and regional specialties like pici all'aglione. Its bright freshness even complements lighter fare, maintaining an ideal balance between crisp acidity and supple texture.
